Institutional Social responsibility (ISR) in context to a Higher Educational Institution has been defined as the ethical practice in transference of knowledge, and the active participation in betterment of quality of life in the society. P. E. Society's Modern College, Shivajinagar, Pune-5 has not only excelled academically but has always worked for the society through activities like 'Collection and Donation Drive of Old/ Used Clothes, Things', 'Financial Assistance to needy students', 'Supporting orphans through donations', 'Awareness about health and hygiene', 'Awareness drive about bio-fertilisers for farmers', 'Organ donation awareness', 'Blood Donation Camps', 'Health Check-up Camps', 'First Aid Assistance' etc. Such activities are carried out throughout the year.
